Burke Roney was born in Santa Monica, California as the eighth of eventually nine children. He was raised in the mountains of Southern California (Lake Arrowhead) and was deeply influenced by the music his older brothers and sisters listened to -- the Beach Boys, Jackson Browne, Elton John, America, Eric Clapton, and Bread. Meanwhile, Roney's pop inclinations led him to the likes of Elvis Presley, the Everly Brothers, the Hawaian duo Brothers Cazimero, and later, Kenny Loggins and Vince Gill.

Growing up modestly in a mountain home, to losing his mother to cancer when he was just 12 years old, Burke found solace, peace, and strength in music and songwriting. Beginning on the piano at age four, Burke's musical prowess eventually extended to the guitar, ukelele, and harmonica. His love, however, remains in singing and writing stirring pop melodies, which has contributed to his reputation for his strong story-telling abilities in verse. Burke’s music has been described as inspirational, soothing, thought provoking, and even playful. "Let it all come down," his current CD, has a cohesiveness throughout while showing a wide range of writing styles between ballads and upbeat, motivational.

Burke now resides in Heber City, Utah, a small rural community in the Swiss-settled highland valley just twenty miles from Park City, Utah. With the responsibilities of a family (including six kids) and work (Burke started and owns a bagel store in Jackson, Wyoming ) he has been a "closet" writer and singer for many years. His debut release, Let It All Come Down, features the single by the same name, and includes such recording legends as bassist Abe Laboriel (Quincy Jones, Madonna, Paul Simon) and drummer Vinnie Colaiuta (Sting, Jewel, Steely Dan, Billy Joel), Michael Thompson (everybody!), Jaime Glasier (Bryan Adams, manhattan Transfer), John Gilutin and the Brunson Brothers.
