This is the song that really got things going for me. After sharing this song with family members and then a few friends, this song began to be requested and asked about more than any other. I was inspired to write this song after the passing of my cousin Lori Brassfield Nielson. She had lost her battle with cancer. She was such a great person. So full of life, spirit and laughter. She was the mother of a great family. She was fairly young. I was impressed with the thoughts of the issues that now would soon be her husband's. The great love he felt for her and the real need that he would now have to carry on with his life--to go forward and to enter the next phase of life without her and yet not really wanting to put her out of his life or mind. These were some of the thoughts going through my mind as I wrote this song and dealt with my own loss of losing, for a time, a wonderful person and cousin.
